Città della Pieve is a neighbouring town and it has an annual festa that commences on Ferragosta and concludes ten days later. Today we went to the parade associated withe the final event, an archery competition between the three different sections of the town. Known as the Palio dei Terzieri it is a competition to see who can win the coveted banner.

We had a superb afternoon and the only cost was the gelati!
