Journals, a Blog and even Facebook

Since we first visited Italy in 1983 we have both written journals of our travels. On that occasion Cate and Kieran had school work and diaries to keep so we had time to write our journals. Nowadays time is often short but we still make journal writing a priority.

The collection has built over the years, and so has the desire to write a better report on the day than the spouse. Sometimes I think we have been in totally different places as our journal styles differ so much. Kel will write lengthy descriptions about waiters, people on the train and other personality driven subjects. My journal is more factual, historic and detailed.

The best part is that every night we read our journal entry for the day out loud to each other.

With the introduction of "the Blog" to the travel routine, I have to find more time and make some succinct decisions. It is a good opportunity to use some of the hundreds of photos I take too.

Kel's Facebook friends will see that he is posting some of his photos, showing his different slant on entrie

We  hope you are enjoying the electronic forms of communication, and be grateful that you don't have to look at all the photos or hear all the journal entries!
