Saturday night in Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere

After a hard day on the trail today, we went out for dinner this evening. Of course, you never go before 9 pm in Italy so we headed for Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere a little before 9 pm and began with drinks. Our latest favourite is an Aperol Spritz.

There was lots of entertainment in the square - a three piece jazz group, an amazing artist using spray cans, a fire twirler and an oboe player from the Lazio Symphony.

With the delightful weather and the holiday atmosphere, it was a really fun night.
