A walk to Paciano

A walk to Paciano was on our 'to do' list so this afternoon we set off at 4 pm to walk over the ridge to the next village. The first two kilometres were all up hill so I was grateful for my trekking pole. (Thankfully the dodgey knee has been fine).
We walked along amongst pines and cypress, oaks and chestnuts enjoying the many shades of green and the ever changing views of Lago Trasimeno.
This is a little of what we saw.

 Roadside shrines

Twin towns sign

An ancient water cistern and an ancient traveller

A restored communal laundry with plaque

Paciano - today's gelati stop

 When we win Tattslotto ...

We only got a little bit wet.

It took us 60 minutes to walk there and 50 minutes to come home. It was a very pleasant walk and would have used up a few kilojoules.
