Street artists at a festival are under great pressure. They often have a huge wall to cover in a few days, they have to cope with weather, equipment malfunction, public expectations that they will stop and talk to them, time constraints and the need for personal breaks for rest & sustenance. Some artists are not keen about heights, they need to drive their own lifts, keep their materials ready and maintain concentration over a long period of time. These artists often start early in the morning and work long after the crowds have gone home, even working by portable lighting.
My message is that if you ever post or publish a photo of street art or silo art, please be sure to include the artist's name. They deserve the recognition for all they have done to produce a piece of art that you think is good enough to photograph, post on the web or use in a publication.
One week later than the first set of photos (previous post), and the completed street art walls are already enlivening Benalla's art scene and drawing visitors.
