A home day

Today was pretty much a home day. Grocery shopping, bed linen pick up day, washing and ironing, delivering the recycling and rubbish to the depot and minimum cleaning.

Today I am posting some photos that have not been seen yet.

Last night was music in the piazza time in Panicale but I didn't go, preferring to rest after the big day out. The band was an all women band called Life of Venus. Apparently they were very entertaining.

At Piegaro last week we saw this grand letter box. The words say ' Hole for the Letters.'

This area is an all-important communal place. This one at Piegaro is a perfact example with the announcements of deaths and funerals, the posters for future festivals and village activities and the recycling and rubbish collection depot all together.

Panicale has several of these activity boards around the perimeter of the village.

Two of our outdoor areas where we spend much of our time when we are home.

This is the ceiling of our bedroom - very old beams that are obviously hand cut and  tiles which are the bottom side of the floor tiles for the rooms above.

We finished off the day playing Scopa. We are getting wiser as we become more accustomed to the game.
